30 Do’s and Don’ts of a Successful Person

Becoming a successful person takes a lot of hard work and determination. Success doesn’t happen overnight. You need to have clear goals in life and focus on the action plan. Success is more than just attaining financial freedom.

When you say you are a successful person, it means you are living life fully and is continually excel with their life both professionally and personally. A successful person knows what she wants in life, knows how to get it and has this strong desire to achieve things with positivity.


I know that each one of us aspires to become a successful person someday. And I know too that it may take a lot of time and effort but I hope this list of Do’s and Don’ts of a Successful Person will give you a boost of inspiration to continue walking on the path of success.

A Successful Person:

  1. Do get enough sleep
  2. Don’t get into unworthy arguments
  3. Do think even if he/she is in the shower
  4. Don’t rush on important decisions in life
  5. Do idea dump or take down notes all the time
  6. Don’t keep ideas in herself and tries as much as possible to share to someone
  7. Do read a lot
  8. Don’t wait for the right time to take action
  9. Do surround himself/herself with successful people
  10. Don’t deal with negativity
  11. Do create the perfect to-do list
  12. Don’t multi-task as much as possible
  13. Do understand his/her work and become an asset in the company
  14. Don’t ignore his/her health
  15. Do focus on the next action
  16. Don’t stay in his/her comfort zone for too long
  17. Do  enjoy time pursuing his/her interests
  18. Don’t measure success in his/her material wealth
  19. Do become happy with others success
  20. Don’t waste time doing unproductive things
  21. Do live life without regrets
  22. Don’t get greedy when it comes to his/her possessions in life
  23. Do work hard to achieve the respect from others
  24. Don’t become too arrogant to people
  25. Do learn from his/her mistakes
  26. Don’t let failure at one thing rule his/her life completely
  27. Do reward himself/herself with each achievement
  28. Don’t get easily discouraged by other people’s mean comments
  29. Do know how to balance all aspects of his/her life
  30. Don’t dwell into evil thoughts

Success happens to those who work for it. Make sure that you have set a clear goal in life and you are committed to take action. Read a lot and spend time thinking about what you want to be in the near future. There are many sources of inspiration you can check out. You don’t need to feel alone and insecure.

As said in the Bible Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

God wants us to be successful in life. Just take it one step at a time.
