Welcome to another net worth update of 2021, the September 2021 Net Worth update. I missed posting my August 2021 Net Worth Update so I thought of filling in you with the details in this new net worth update. 
This is like a 2-in-1 post.
Anyway, how are you doing? If you’re new to SavingsPinay, you may be wondering why I post my net worth update every month. If you’re not you can easily skip to the next section.
The main reason why I do net worth updates is to stay accountable with my finances. As to why I share them publicly revolves mainly with my core objective of bridging the financial literacy gap among Filipinos one content at a time.

August and September 2021
I spent the whole month of August to September working from home. This started on August 6 when the National Capital Region was placed in Enhanced Community Quarantine. Staying at home gave me a lot of room for additional savings. Super grateful for that.
August 2021 was quite eventful. It was the month I launched The Budget Template Notepad. The Budget Template is based on the 50-20-30 Rule of Budgeting, a rule of thumb popularized by American Senator Elizabeth Warren in her book, All Your Worth: The Ultimate Lifetime Money Plan.
The basic rule is to divide your after-tax income into three categories – 50% on Needs, 30% on Wants, and 20% on Savings/Investments. It is one of the simplest and the easiest budget techniques you can use to decide what percentage of your income goes to expenses, savings or others.

Anyways, aside from launching a product, I also received a bonus from work. I used this money to do a derma consultation since my skin has been suffering from acne for the past two years. I’m so happy with the result of the derma consultation because in just three days I already saw the result. Yay!
For August 2021, my siblings also received their first dose of vaccine. This is good news because more from our family are getting vaccinated.

For September 2021, there are two events as well that’s worth sharing. First off, I am got fully-vaccinated! I thought my second dose would happen in October but fortunately a slot opened earlier than expected.
Another great news for September is now I am a BIR registered business! This is such a huge milestone for me. Thank you for supporting SavingsPinay.ph and my personal blog IzzaGlinoFull.com through the years.
This also means I have to take blogging more seriously now. This is more than just a hobby blog anymore. It’s a real business that I need to take good care of. To God be the glory for this milestone.
I also spent the month of September working on the next product launch for the shop. Please stay tuned for this.
Aside from the above, both August and September were typical months for me.
Financially, both went great as well. As mentioned, I received a bonus and was able to use the money to invest for myself – finally consulting a dermatologist and buying the products to make my skin better.

Since April I haven’t been blogging that much and I deeply apologize for that. I’ve been receiving messages from readers who are already missing the posts in SavingsPinay.
I can only blame myself for what happened. I was lazier than usual and didn’t really spend that much time writing.

August and September 2021 Side Hustle Income Breakdown
I will be honest that my current Google Adsense payout is decreasing since April. I believe this is due to the lack of new posts. I am really hoping I can get back to my posting schedule in the coming months.
As for my Google Adsense income I am now at 66.71% of my goal of $500 Google Adsense income.
For August and September 2021, you will see a slight dip in my Extra Income Fund as I used some of the money to invest in the product release of The Budget Template Notepad and the upcoming product.
I did have a paid webinar and sponsored post but due to less Adsense Income and the expenses that I did registering my business on BIR and investing on the product for the shop, my current Extra Income Fund was affected.
I am hopeful that Quarter 4 will be better. I have some projects that I’m waiting to get paid for so the sure thing at the moment is there will be new income for October.
September 2021 Goals Update
I posted my 2021 goals not long ago and something I learned to be very effective in life is the power of measuring your progress.
Excited to share with you how I’ve been moving in terms of my goals for 2021.
Financial Goals
End with Php 500,000 net worth. Grateful to continuously move up in terms of my starting net worth. Super happy that the current net worth is going strong.
Grow Side Hustle Income to Php 100,000 net. Both August and September were the most expensive months for me in terms of blog and business expenses.
I launched a product, I processed my BIR registration, and I bought materials for a new product. Thus, you will see a sudden decrease on my side hustle income my updated net worth below this post.
But, I treat the said expenses as investment as well on my part. Getting my BIR registration will allow me to get better pay for projects. Now I also have confidence doing brand deals, speaking engagements, and many more. I can now issue official receipts and call myself a businesswoman.
Launching a physical product was such a dream for me. A budget template in the form of a notepad has always been an idea I had and I’m super grateful it has come into fruition.
Total Money Saved and Invested to Php 100,000 net. Not working at site for two straight months, I had more room for savings and investments. I was able to accomplish saving and investing more than 35% of my salary for the month. What I did is actually set up my mobile banking to transfer x amount of money every first day of the month to my brokerage account and my mutual funds. I’ve also been adding to my high-yield account every month as a form of extra savings since I already hit my emergency fund.
For both August and September 2021, I just continued my investment schedule as usual.
Finish my 2021 Sinking Funds. I’ve shared my 2021 Sinking Funds in this post and I actually have two categories – personal and work. So far, each of my sinking funds are in progress. In September 2021, I finished the gift for my cousin Shannen. Now I only have a few left for both personal and blog and business sinking funds.
Blog and Business Goals
Upload 1x/week on YouTube. For the past net worth updates, I’ve been mentioning that YouTube would be my biggest venture for 2021. I really want to publish new videos on my YouTube channel.
For both August and September 2021, I’ve been doing well on my YouTube posts! I was able to upload 6 new videos. That’s a lot compared to the past.

Blog 100 times. I apologize sincerely for the lack of new posts since April. I’ve been quite busy from work as well as personal matters. I only published five posts from August to September 2021. I’ve been working from home yet I can’t seem to find time to write new posts.
Release at least three (3) Paid Products. When 2021 started I had a goal of releasing three (3) paid products. I missed the product release in April and counted on my comeback on YouTube as part of the ventures I did for this year.
In August 2021, I launched The Budget Template Notepad and in September 2021, I worked for a new product release. This goal is going strong and I’m happy with my progress.
Get one (1) month ahead of blog posts. As mentioned, this area has been a work in progress pa din. The best I can do currently is one week in advance. At this rate, I’ve been able to write and publish all posts for the week over the weekend which allows me more time in the weekdays for other things.
Update blog Main Menus and Archive. Updating the blog Main Menus and Archive will not only allow a better reading experience to my readers. It will also help me identify what posts I am missing. I also want to use the Main Menus to offer my services. The archive for SavingsPinay is already done and I even published a How to Invest for Beginners post. I like to do more curated posts like that in the future.
Reach $500 Total Google Adsense Payout. In my 2020 Side Hustle Income Report you’ll know that Google Adsense is one of the areas that I earn as a blogger. My main goal for 2021 is to continue earning well since it’s more of a passive one. With $347.89, I am now more than halfway to reaching this goal.
However, I can really see how the lack of posts is affecting my Google Adsense Payout. I don’t think I can reach $500 with just four months left in 2021. But I will still work hard in the coming months.
Personal Goal
Read 20 books. For 2021, my target book to read is 20. But it’s time to cut that goal in half. It’s already September but I am only 6 books down to my goal so finishing 20 is impossible. So for now I’m working on reading 10 books.
September 2021 Net Worth Update
I’ve been tracking down my net worth since 2017 and it’s very motivating to see my progress. Grateful I am now green in terms of my net worth. I’ve been pretty consistent in following my savings and investment schedule which is really A-MAZ-ING.
Some things to note in my September 2021 Net Worth Update:
- The month of September was soooo amazing in terms of my stock market investment. Happy how close I am on my target year-end net worth. I’m
- My Extra Income Fund dropped so much because of the major expenses I did aside from the usual site maintenance.
First, I paid for my BIR business registration. Aside from the documentary needs I also paid someone to do the application for me. I talked more about this in my October 2021 Plan with Me video.
Next, I bought materials for my next product launch. And lastly I paid for an annual subscription on Canva Pro. I super love Canva and use it on all of my YouTube thumbnails, blog post thumbnails, and social media posts.
Next Month’s Plans
Sadly my long standing task of releasing the next season for The SavingsPinay Podcast is still pending 😅 I keep procrastinating on this task sa di ko maipaliwanag na dahilan. I’m giving myself an ultimatum now, release it once and for all this October.
Last month, I made a huge progress on my next product release so October will be all about finalizing everything. I also want to create my marketing launch plan. Nakaka-excite na very soon magkakaroon na ng ka-bundle si The Budget Template Notepad.
I also want to start my Christmas Sinking Fund. My plan is to save up at least Php 5000 before December 15. Thus, for October my Christmas Sinking Fund has to have at least Php 1500. I’ve shared about sinking funds here if you’re curious – Sinking Fund – What, Why, and How.
Doing more blog posts is also part of my goals for October. I’m hoping to publish at least six new posts this month. In line with this, I also like to do daily posting on Facebook and Instagram for both @savingspinay.ph and my personal Instagram, @izzaglino
Lastly, I want to publish 4 new YouTube videos for the month.
What should happen this month – blog more, send out newsletters, and maintain my budget.
